A Hawaii travel ban could be on the books within days.
David Ige says the state will review the restrictions to determine if they’re necessary to protect public health and safety.
Ige said the restrictions will include the following:A travel ban that’s imposed by the federal government will be limited to those who are currently U.S. citizens, residents of the United States or lawful permanent residents.
Bans imposed by local governments will be the same.
Local governments can still impose restrictions on individuals who are in the country illegally, or those who have entered the country with a visa or green card and have not left.
