Last month me and the boyfriend went to Glasgow for the weekend to take a break from uni, here are the belated ‘a weekend in Glasgow photos’ – better late than never eh?

Regular readers may know that I went to Glasgow last year in May with the boyf, and we loved it so much that we thought we might as well have a winter weekend away there this year! Last year was pretty swanky – we stayed in the Marriott Hotel and had quite a luxurious trip. This year, we opted to do it the budget way, and enjoy the bits and bats we couldn’t do last year – such as The Style Mile, local football and of course, Yo Sushi! Sumo Sundays!  (You know how much I love Yo Sushi!)

We stayed at The Ibis Hotel, not exactly the Marriott, but it was perfect for our short weekend stay! The next day, we went to the National Stadium at Hampden Park to watch Scottish Cup Football – I know, I know (football?!), but I enjoyed it, even though we were sat in the away end by mistake! We then spent the evening chilling in the hotel – the boyf watching TV, and me getting all Christmassy by painting my nails.

Although we’re both students, I can’t help but shop! And Glasgow’s Style Mile is like heaven! After taking a few posy coupley pictures in the hotel’s mirror (soppy, I know), I decided to do some window shopping, with a soup and sandwich break obvs!

Then it was the moment we were waiting for, it was Sushi sumo time! As you can see, we made our way through a lot of dishes before hitting the House of Fraser Beauty Hall! Overall it was nice to get away from uni and assignments to just relax in one of my favourite cities!

Have you been away recently?
