This Week’s Nails is back and going all glamorous and glittery!

You may have wondered why it has been ages since my last nails post! Well, let’s just say my nails needed a nice little detox from all that polish! Oh, and I guess working in retail doesn’t really help either – my nails always get damaged! So, onto this week’s colour of choice – a ‘razzle dazzle’ dark pink shade! It’s simplistic, sparkly and oh-so-trendy!

Here is an image of what I used to achieve my glitzy glamorous nails!
From L-RDeborah Lippmann Nail Varnish in ‘Razzle Dazzle’ (via Glossybox subscription), 2 in 1 Top Coat & Nail Hardener Superdrug & Long Lasting Emery Board (came in a pack of 5) £99p Superdrug.

I started off by giving my nails a good filing, followed by applying two coats of Deborah Lippmann’s ‘Razzle Dazzle’ nail polish. I received this product in December’s Glossybox, but due to the busy Christmas period (I was working a lot of hours), I sadly didn’t have time to review the box. Hey ho, hence why I have decided to dedicate this week’s nails to all things sparkly! I’m not going to lie, when I applied my first coat of ‘Razzle Dazzle’ there wasn’t much coverage, and I was a bit apprehensive as to how many coats it would take to apply. But I was proved wrong when I applied my second coat, which basically made my nails all dark and glittery!  I thought that the drying time was quite fast – which is a lot better than other nail polishes that I use, which take AGES to dry.  I then applied my trusty 2 in 1 top coat and nail hardener and ker-ching… nails done!

The glitter catches the light perfectly (though not on my poor Samsung camera) and I love how different it is to the other varnishes in my collection. There is one thing about Deborah Lippmann’s nail polish which I would love to change, and that’s the price! £16 is a lot of money for poor students like me, so I probably wouldn’t be buying anything from her website anytime soon, well until the next student loan comes in!

Despite being poor, I had a browse on the celebrity manicurist’s website, and had to show you my top three favourite ‘wishlist’ polishes!

From L-R: Lara’s Theme $16, Candy Shop $18 & I Know What Boys Like $16.

Have you tried out Deborah Lippmann’s nail polishes before? What did you think of them?
